Jordan Reports Missile Impacts, Interceptions Amid Rising Regional Tensions

(MENAFN) Jordanian authorities announced on Friday that three missiles had struck the country’s territory within a 24-hour period, as regional tensions tied to the conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel continue to escalate, according to reports.

Military sources indicated that air defense systems successfully intercepted two of the incoming missiles, while a third projectile landed in the eastern part of the country.

Officials also noted that emergency and security teams dealt with four additional incidents during the same timeframe, involving falling debris and remnants of projectiles, according to.

No casualties were reported in connection with these घटन, although some material damage was recorded, authorities said.

The developments come amid an intensifying regional crisis that began after the United States and Israel initiated coordinated strikes on Iran on Feb. 28, with reported fatalities exceeding 1,340, including senior leadership figures such as Ali Khamenei.

In response, Iran has carried out multiple waves of missile and drone attacks targeting Israel as well as neighboring countries including Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf states hosting US military installations. These exchanges have resulted in casualties, infrastructure damage, and wider disruptions affecting global markets and air travel.
