Trump Gets Angry in Phone Call with Netanyahu
High-ranking members of the US administration revealed in the exclusive report that Trump told Netanyahu the choice to strike political figures of the Palestinian faction in Doha, Qatar’s capital city, was unwise.
He stressed that he “was angry to learn about the attack as it was occurring from the US military—rather than from Israel—and that it struck the territory of another US ally that was mediating negotiations on ending the Gaza war.”
In reply, Netanyahu argued that he had only a narrow timeframe to carry out the attack and decided to seize the chance.
Officials stated that after this confrontation, a second phone call followed, which was described as more polite. In this conversation, Trump questioned Netanyahu on whether the mission had achieved its goal, but Netanyahu was unable to give a definite answer.
Subsequently, Hamas announced that its senior figures had survived the airstrike, though five of its members, along with a Qatari security personnel, were killed.
Although Trump is recognized as a firm backer of Israel, his irritation with Netanyahu has been growing, as the Israeli leader continues to corner him with unilateral military actions that conflict with Trump’s own objectives for the Middle East, the news outlet reported.
On Tuesday, Israel’s armed forces declared it carried out a "precise strike targeting the senior leadership" of the Palestinian organization.
